Nap/Sponge finish k-rend

Hi all,can I nap/sponge finish k-rend.In stead of the scraped finish can it be finished the traditional way. A client wants reveals and plinth done with coloured k-rend but wants a smooth finish not scraped. Backing coat is a 4-1 sand/cement scratch coat.

Napped, is when you use the float or sponge float to give it a ripple,/ artex type look, very popular in IrelandIreland

You can float it with a float then float it again with a plastic float to get a smoother more closed finish

Ya we have napped it before but not sponges. K-rend say they won't cover the product tho if anything goes wrong...??
