Has anyone used one of these? Just looking for a bit of feedback before ordering one. I've been suffering from a sore neck lately when doing ceilings and a fellow member suggested this might help.

Might be worth a twirl. just use radion at the moment, or diclofenic if its too bad, though i try not to take medication

When doing ceilings do u do em off steps or scaffold ,cos u might be to low ,I work off scaffolds the top of my head is literally just below the ceiling so I'm looking along it and not up to it

to do a ceiling, the perfect height is your hand spread out from thumb to little finger from top of head, anyone who gets one is a soft ****.

thats the way i do it :RpS_thumbup: dont go with that streched hand on top of the head thing. and off a platform / scaffs or hop ups not ladders.

As I work on my own and sometimes I wish I have someone with me to give a hand, having a additional plasterer is luxury like sparkie's mate etc but income from plastering is not great. Will need to work smart somehow

You do both fibrous and solid ? It's good to have both skills but am shifting more of my time to fibrous and do bit of plastering for my mates

I'm a solid hand Ryan first and foremost but can hold my own with fibrous, making and fixing,I've run external cornices and architraves , made balustrades and made good a lot of external stone works, but out of all that I much prefer solid plastering,I find fibour boring ,I enjoy it for the first day or so then start to think why did I start this

i do alright, ryan. and i like working on my own, though it's not always possible. i need space. hate being in the same place for more than two or three days, though. it gets me down. just me and the world service on the radio. or my self help tapes.

Necprotechjust get a pair of these you never need look up again

Lads who did a lot of Artexing seemed to suffer more, I'm slightly lopsided but that's from the amount of cash in my wallet. Loadsamoney!

I get a bit of an ache when doing a ceiling. I use a special formula when it comes to ceiling height. If I can reach, great. If not, remove beer crate and hop up from can. I don't bother moaning to the wife anymore when I come home that something is sore as she just sends me back to the van to attach my boll0cks before walking through the front door again.

Tried mine @Danny can you help?
