Been using mine quite a bit happy with it just options really on final proses of troweling
Do you find on the last couple of trowels it closes the finish in too much had a bollokin of a decorated saying it was too shiny but I've not been going over that much
 
Just polish a trowel length right through the middle. Every time you pass that wall. Just that one bit is enough to keep me smiling all day

Brush-hands carry sandpaper, feck em.

Don't need to polish my walls as I use a s*p*r*lex. Unless I'm in one of those moods then I'll polish the feck out of it - might even give it a go with the plaggy. That shuts the moaning twáts up.
 
I'm finding my s*p*r*lex sometimes creates ripples in the plaster.... A stripy like texture?...only occasionally tho?

Maybe getting on it too soon? When it happens I revert to the MT and problem goes away.....

any other ideas?
 
maybe have a look at the video I did with the nela, that process wont give you any ripples etc... think its a case of timings pal.. try spatting off when the second coats pulled in a bit... that should sort ya...

it should be part of his prep to give it a sanding anyway....................the lazy c@nt

2 trowels is enough is catch it right ffs, why do you wanna see your face in it anyway and effectively trowel another set up in a day if you trowel it more than twice, thats if your doing 3 sets, no one else gives a toss as long as its flat and blemish free that will do. Rant over
 
I do a trowel a flatten a trowel a spat a poly float a sponge a trowel a plazzi then throw confetti at it job done :rolleyes)
I always feel I overdo it with too much confetti??:RpS_laugh:

Are they more durable than the blue handled opposition?
Now when I say durable, I don't mean hacking snots off the block work or scraping the floor, but I do think you should be able to run a trowel down a bead to remove the excess without running for the file. I also think a trowel should be able to withstand a 3' drop onto a floor board without folding in half.
I have a Nela Premium trowel in the garage, and although it's surplus to requirements at present, the quality speaks for itself.

So is the Nela more durable & will it have the bollox to scrape the ice off the windscreen come November or should I stick with the Refina Diva?
 
I have the refina and toying with buying a nela but i know there cant be much difference berween them.

i have the premium nela , i say get using , its a very heavy duty trowel in my mind , and going to take some banging in imo

Don't you take a photo of it then compare it to the other walls you've done for consistency?

Always keep a tin of Pledge for the final polish. :RpS_laugh:
