We now have a wide range of Timco Drywall Screws available and the very well product known as the Hook-On Bead.

The Hook on bead; The new time saving plasterboard bead
can be attached by simply being pushed or tapped against the
board, with no need for nails or screws.
Gripping teeth located at 40mm intervals, holds the bead firmly in place.

All items are available for Nationwide next day delivery and you can order online

I told the charlatans at wack I paid 36 at R and J and he said he could match it, was buying some other stuff so didn't notice he put vat ontop. That fecker knew I meant £36 inclusive

They're alright, if it's cold throw it on the dashboard to warm them up near a halogen as the strips can get stiff in cold so can jam the gun, not bad price tbh I get them 10-13+vat depends on size

Just looking at the picture of the hook on beads. Looks like a deep edge on it. Looks a lot more then 2mm. Looks like it's 5mm plus. U would get ripples in the skim at that depth. Plus use double the amount of skim needed. Think it's something u should look in to. Skim is 2mm to 3mm finish.

500 will last me a long time but got a good sized garage so buys lots of stuff in bulk, get all my boards and skim in pallets...did 3 boxes in 2 months just gone on a funny shaped house so probably 4-5 months worth on normal stuff

Getting through some work then (y)
Took me years to start buying in bulk. Been ripped off by merchants for a long time :confused:
I do too much for builders so don’t use a lot of materials that I buy myself.

Just try to look after the pennies, needed a couple of boards the other day £5.25 each ordered a pallet direct from encon £3.61

They are no different to normal beads

In my opinion they are s**t and like you say way too heavy

Get a straight edge and firm even tap on the arris and they perfecto after you'll see how to get them on by hand after u get a feel as stated grip great no movement
