I have recently moved to Cornwall and whilst I have over 10 years experience in both new and renovation work, dry lining, dot n dab etc I am finding the going a bit slow at the moment. Is anyone looking for a plasterer or can anyone give me any advice, placed lots of ads, tried lots of agencies, not much joy. Own tools, transport. CSCS card. Any help most appreciated, cheers. Steve.

Hi Steve

Cornish folk are a strange breed mate..... (woops - did i just post that.... lol)

Get into the distributors and merchants and see if they can point you towards some of the bigger players, or advise who has work....

Good Luck mate

why didnt you look in to the work situation before you moved there?
a plasterer i know moved there from essex, he is now travelling back to london as he found out there is no work in cornwall

I grew up and worked in the mother land for 22 years, it's hard down there pal, you don't really get just spreads mostly masons who do a bit of everything, where a bouts in Cornwall are you based?

Try Portreath Plastering - just down the road from you. Cornwall is not great atm - you may have to do a fair bit of travelling to keep busy.

PM me in a couple of weeks if your not busy - -may have something for you then.

I lived/worked in illogan, try stan Osborne in Falmouth.father and son buisness he is always busy, worth a call
