After a little bump in my lovely caddy, I've got a courtesy van to use.......ford transit custom........
Lovely to drive, if I needed a bigger van I would consider it, and I am vw man through and through.

Had an iveco in the past 2002 I think , nothing but problems, poor refinement but that was a while ago things might have changed. Fix It Again Tony Ducato involved though so that makes me nervous now. Transit for me. Got it sussed. Buy a transit, enjoy it's reliability for about 6 years, change it when it starts to rust. Would love a VW but I'd rather go to the cinema or listen to music than be out there maintaining it to keep it looking good.
 
I haven't had a transit since 2002, that was the last one I had for 2 years, was a very good workhorse but too sluggish to my liking. I had several Fiat's, Peugeot's and Citroen's, not one of them failed on me, only one Ducato shat it's pants with a worn out clutch which I hadn't booked in for service on time. But other than that I can only praise them.
Whatever you buy if look after it, it will look after you.
 
I've an auld Citroën dispatch, it's a straight diesel though so it's dead as feckin Hector. Next one I'm tempted by a vivaro, only for look to be able to pick up a reasonably clean lookin one for bout 2k,I wouldn't want to be spending much more on one to have it wrecked at this game.

That's why I got rid of the transit back then, it wasn't a turbo one, was painfully slow but it was like a good donkey. Had the springs upgraded was great with overloading

Factory leaf springs git thrown out and had some made by a fabricator with more leaves, one of my mate had air suspension fitted so even when it was loaded up it looked like there was no weight on it cos he was able to inflate the airbags
