Hi.

I'm working on a limestone wall and it's not straight. I've got from one end of the room to the other corner using 2x1 battens but in the final corner if I want to keep my boarding straight there's no room for a batten as the wall bulges inwards. I don't want to buy a 25kg bag of dot and dab adhesive for one edge of a board. Is there another way of attaching this final board that can be relied on?

TIA

Adri

i would go and purchase a bag of dry wall adhesive. if it is very thin you could use dabs of no nails. but why spoil a job for a few quid?

I've got a half bag of dab addy in the van, I'll give you it for nowt if you want to pick it up.... I live in Inverness:RpS_wink: feck payin £8 for a bag! Just to do a job:RpS_scared::RpS_lol:

If the gaps thinner than a battern just use gripfill & board offcuts to pack out :RpS_wink:
You'll need 3 tubes @ £2 each =£6 :-0
or...just buy a bag of dab I get mine for a fiver a bag FFS

Cut the stone back and sit the batten in the rebate, mate :RpS_wink:

so was i but i was too engrosed in the 5 word casper adventure.....................:RpS_wink:

FFS I pay £3.99 for G-Tec Drywall adhesive. Don't be such a tight wad. Do the job and collect your cash.

you could try this but if you cant afford dab then this could be out of reach marra
