One coat plastering

Want to try one coat plastering. Any tips?
Can you use standard MF or must you use one coat plaster? Would really appreciate any advice, thanks.

My first boss used to do one coat, his work was crap and always full of tigger stripes because I think he knocked it up to dry and put on to thick and he was a f**k**g chancer my best advice is do 2 coats and do it properly

1) don't do it.

2) if you do do it, don't do it without a sponge

3) try to avoid using a sponge, when plastering

4) In other words, just 2 coat it, like you know you should

Get back to materials you can deal with...like easifil. And a sander. Possibly a little heater.

There's no such thing as one coat. They'll fill the joints then go back around. They'll make decent money but it'll never be on par with a decent plasterer 2 coating how the job should be done
