Job done ...... the day started at around 5.45 am , cup of tea and a quick shower left the house at 6.30 and drove round to pick up my mate , he was fast asleep been out Friday night didn't get in till 2.30 am and he stunk of beer . Off to the garage for some diesel and a couple of Costa coffees the roads was nice and quite , we followed a route planer from the AA (crap ) got a bit lost and ended up In-gatestone my mates t**t nav wasn't getting a gps signal so i decided to bell the guy this was around 7.30 ish got some directions and drove to the job past highlands park and the sea of tents , arrived at the job just before 8oc meet the bloke had another coffee .
Started to prep the ceiling ,it was a neatly tacked so it only needed a bit of scrim i never measured it but it looked like what the bloke said it was and i could reach from the floor so no crate needed there was a couple of extra bits to be made good for the tiler but nothing that hawkfull wouldn't take care off . Two tarps on the floor and a dust sheet over the aga quick fag and off we went a bucket and 3/4s first coat flatterned in twice 3/4s of a bucket top coat i washed around the ceiling line my mate spun a bit up and done the making good , i troweled up while he was clearing away and had a cup of tea . At this point the house owner come in with his wife they liked the ceiling had a little chat about some more work they might want done , gave the ceiling a wet cross trowel then a dry one ten minutes late all done , bloke ask me how he owed me £ 300 i said payed up shook my hand and off we went at 11.30 . There was a little bit of traffic around "v" but nothing much got home around 12.45 and gave my mate £120 he was coming down a little and was going back to bed.....

nice result church. some would have ripped the bloke off but i have always charged a fare amount and you get anything else that comes up,
