Thermo setting. Found in all good plastic retailers.

Please refer to the 1 million threads already on here about plastic trowels

I've got the refina 16" plastic trowel and its great for flattening down it nicks very easily though but all in all it's ok

try the marshalltown 12x4 normal steel, been using them now for bout 11 years best job
+ 1 to that , nice and easy to get a sharp edge on but dont nick that easily . The only downfall being that they are quick to rust if you dont dry them after use

i agree but iv,e never seen anything can finish skim to the same standard

Whatever about a good finish , I find the most important thing to me is that they are that bit easier on the arm than the stainless trowels , you cant buy new arms anywhere :RpS_laugh:

my trowel aint the topic, well it is really lol. its the 18 inch of steel that i use thats fooked my elbows and shoulder:RpS_thumbdn: . seemingly plastic is the way forward as far as effort required.........so whats the most popular plastic ?

refina ones in my opinion , got 16 and 24 inch ones, less friction less water less effort for same result ...... bonus for the old bones

unfortunately its a little bit late for me ive had the operations for tennis elbow and frozen shoulder, but while there working im earning a wage , know nowt else so i'll keep going :rolleyes)

seemingly its after youve second coated with your steel pal as far as im aware

i dont always two coat , depends how neat ive got set on to start with or how my body feels! i scratch on thick and neat , if i one coat i get over it early and lay it on with itself first trowel ........
lol wait for it all these two coat guys gunning :RpS_thumbsup:

24" Refina, use it to trowel up 3 times, no steel trowel

And the finish is down to the spread you can either do it or you can't !

Are you getting on it wetter with you're normal trowel and cross troweling it with the plastic when it's still green?
yes its finnished in no time , i dont over do it , if i wasnt using plazzy i would wait for it to start changing colour to give it some force to cross it
