Never used plastic so any knowledge on the best one to try and where to purchase it would be appreciated :rolleyes)
I've had my plaziflex 2 days and its nicked a few times what's the best way of getting rid of themI've got the refina 16" plastic trowel and its great for flattening down it nicks very easily though but all in all it's ok
Thermo setting. Found in all good plastic retailers.

+ 1 to that , nice and easy to get a sharp edge on but dont nick that easily . The only downfall being that they are quick to rust if you dont dry them after usetry the marshalltown 12x4 normal steel, been using them now for bout 11 years best job

refina ones in my opinion , got 16 and 24 inch ones, less friction less water less effort for same result ...... bonus for the old bonesmy trowel aint the topic,well it is really lol. its the 18 inch of steel that i use thats fooked my elbows and shoulder:RpS_thumbdn: . seemingly plastic is the way forward as far as effort required.........so whats the most popular plastic ?

That's what my mate was doing he put 2 bags on same gear and had 3 sets done by 1.30 and it was spotless, I've tried doing it but I can't he's a coont lolyes its finnished in no time , i dont over do it , if i wasnt using plazzy i would wait for it to start changing colour to give it some force to cross it
24" Refina, use it to trowel up 3 times, no steel trowel
And the finish is down to the spread you can either do it or you can't !
give the 12x4 marshalltown in ordinary steel a go, once broken in they are unbelievably easy on the arms
moy i take it you havnt used a plastic trowel ? its a lot easier than a steel trowelAre you troweling skim with a 2ft trowel ? Sweet baby jesus sometimes if its a bit early and soft ill give it a flatten it in with a 18" trowel but thats as far as it goes

easier on the elbow yes, harder on the shoulder yes twice as many strokes to cover same area i.e 24 inch plazzy ...give the 12x4 marshalltown in ordinary steel a go, once broken in they are unbelievably easy on the arms
