Over polished Multi Finish

I'm A polish it right up man, I've never gotten when I hear I give it 3 trowels , I've never counted how many towels I give it ,it's as many as it takes In my book,
But I do mainly domestic work , so I've got time and good wedge To be able to do that , I understand if ur on x amount per m2 u won't av the time or inclination to fanny around too much

If you trowel it just before its proper set its always going to have a nice sheen to it. especially looking along the wall or ceiling with light shinning along it. But ive never left any work super shiny when looking straight at it
 
I always get "I didn't no there was 2 of you in the room" there's not its just the reflection of my un paintible plastering. I'm only closing it in at this point :,)
 
if you give it a dry trowel with the face when its going/gone off it gives a bit of a polished look. or you could throw loads of water at it and take all the fat out and polish it that way, painter won't be happy but who cares about painters.(y)
 
I only do domestics and I ask the customer if they want in shiny or done properly with a matt finish and explain the reasons why. Surprising enough they say they want it done properly and a couple of wipes with a speedskim and 1 with the nela and its happy days
 
I had a customer who insisted on finish being polished to f##k even though i explained paint probably wouldnt stick to it. Customer always right?

are you taking the fat out of the plaster with watering down the wall and troweling hard with the sharp edge of the trowel? I haven't got the elbows for it. I find the carbon trowels are dead flat compared to the slightly bowed stainless finishing ones, more difficult to use the flat face on the carbon ones I think.

You may be right with the favours but why does it look shhhiittt?
It looks super flat to me which is what it should be, may be shiny but it will still look good when painted even if it causes the decorators hassle!
 
Truly cant see the point and effort involved in polishing a wall to death unless its venetian also brings me no joy to cause through my wasted efforts problems for another trade / human.

If u trowel and trowel a wall For ages u will cause indentations
 
Baffles me... are these people stupid.... Hove me some valid reason to over polish a wall...

I over polished a wall in my garage to see what happens....
