Checked wages today and found I'd been paid £120 too much. Not said owt to the contractor. My pal said I should mention it Monday, ( he was paid right). I said I'm saying feck all. It'll balance out because we get the doors and windows taken out of price ( nothing for reveals) and they don't pay you for the slopes on the staircase ceilings. They are too hard to work out apparently. So, I'm going to leave it a week, split it with my pal, and bung an extra couple of quid in the collection at St Josephs. Oh, and if they spot it I'll act dumb, pretty good at that.

Had similar lasy year a woman i had done work for a year previous put £6,000 in my account which was supposed to go to her son.
They were a nice couple so sorted it out straight away.

i subbed for a large dry lining outfit a few years ago maybe 2010/11.

they were fookers with wages, docking everything they could, i was on the phone arguing every 2 weeks about m2 and prices with the QS, they even knocked our float and set rate down from £6.50 to £5.50 as they'd "got it wrong" really it was because we'd worked our asses off and they didn't like to see us earning money.

1 week i was arguing on the phone about wages and was fuming as we'd been docked £50 each me and my mate.

id booked in something like £1500 for me and my mate for 2 weeks so it was £750 each

i asked kid on phone "so how much have we been left with then"

"you've got £1450.00 each, I'm not putting that £50 each back on, take it or leave it"

they'd only gone and paid us separately, i kept quite took the money

You can move it out though that's what I was advised the bank then also has to offer a payment plan to pay it back... @bobby was waiting for a payment of similar amount at about the time it was deposited did not realise it was not from the right people

It wasn't put in by a previous customer just a random transfer!!!

Honesty- the best policy.

I got the sack from openreach for being honest about my mistake and if i could go back i'd probably do it again. You can lose your money and your worldly possessions but nobody can take your morals.

Having said that i once kept an over payment from a firm we used to work for because they were robbing c**ts week on week lol strong believer in karma so i didn't feel too bad about that 1.
