Parex Render

Hi,
I was able to get quite a reasonable estimate of wall area. Obviously, the plan dimensions were straight forward, I could also get a tape up to the underside of the soffits. Admittedly the dim up to the very top of the gable was estimated by assuming that the roof extends up at 45 degrees. That said, based on this 71m2 of wall area, do you think a price of £5800 is reasonable or should I be looking elsewhere. Basically, it breaks down to: £1200 scaffold; £1500 render removal; £2900 K-Rend.
Many thanks.

I think it is fair. The render sum is OK bearing in mind it needs polymer base mesh and then the top colour. 2 visits to apply and perhaps a third to scrape and tidy. That's before you get involved in skips and scaff.
Scaffold at 1200 and they be there 1 day - scaffold is not cheap they earn good money now.
Hacking off is an open ended one. If its a mare to get off then they will prob lose out on that. If it comes off easy then they will make a wage. Skips are about 180 plus vat plus a permit and you need at least 2 maybe more expensive down your end.

Its a shame you don't get the bottom done too. You will get some economy of scale at least in the price. Scaff is prob same etc and it will all look fantastic then. Half n half houses are like.......maybe at a later date perhaps

Good point plasterjfe re rendering the ground floor as well, I may well give this some thought. As the lower walls are painted with many layers (probably) of Sandtex paint, does this all have to be removed prior to applying K-Rend?? thanks as always...
