Hi guys, first post here , so be kind with me:RpS_laugh:
Recent jobs are pushing me more and more to the decision of getting a machine for the big jobs.Houses and small projects are not a problem, but with the big ones I wish I had machine to help us. As per the title i am looking at ritmo EWI 110v mainly because you can use it on sites. Does anyone here own one,what is your experience and what alternatives do I have? Mainly use for Wetherby EWI ,so looking for the full package to be able to apply top coat too. Thanks in advance!
 
Welcome to the forum,

There are a range of machine available for the EWI Market. As you have already said 110v is your best option.

We believe the best machine for EWI is the EZE 24 Thin Coat machine. It is a small compact machine weighing only 46kg. It will spray Top coats to a finished standard in one pass.

It will also spray the basecoats and other materials.

The top mixer for the machine is also now available.

I've got two ritmos, they have never once let me down. As with any machine you need an understanding of how and why it works.

The fact that there are so many threads on here related to ritmos just demonstrates there popularity, most of the postings are from lads getting to grips with the machine.
 
The thing I would say about the EZE 24 is the simplicity of the machine and the overall performance, very limited buttons and has been designed to be simple yet extremely effective.

The Ritmo is a very popular machine at the moment, but you also have to remember that the machine section of the forum is very PFT Based...

We have recently sold a number of M-tec m300's (not for EWI) and do not have these issues... Each machine has it place in the market and I'm certainly not knocking the Ritmo but it does seem to come with more 'baggage' than a G4 or M300 which are both great machines.

I would imagine the ritmo is being sold to guys like myself who have never used a machine before hence the problems on set up.
I have seen the eze first hand (with out top mixer)and it is a nice piece of kit.will it throw on a 100m2 of mono a day though,not sure.
 
If you get 100m2 with the Ritmo on in a day the EZE will do it as well. Will check on the output, can't remember off the top of my head.

For just over 5k inc Vat you will have a setup that will spray Thincoats, Basecoats and Renders. Top mixer price is still being decided but will be competitive. The top mixer can be used for jobs when the machine itself isn't required as well.

It will spray: Multi, MP Finish, MP75, Monocouche, OCR, Base coats, Thin Coats.

The machine really comes into it's own spraying thin coats. Knauf Insulation even rate this machine higher than any other for spraying top coats.

We recently had a customer spraying 500 Sq m of 1.5mm Silicone (weber) a day!

On this as well, if your doing 100 Sq m of mono a day then I certainly wouldn't be using anything but a 3 Phase or Diesel. When your spraying that meterage, output is one of the main things you need to look at.

I'm not saying you can't spray it. You defiantly can. At the same time, you can only spray what you can finish.

So, the sooner it's on the better. Therefore a 3 Phase would be better as it has a higher output

So a good all round machine then?
I'm totally new to machine plastering but am helping out my uncle at the moment and he uses a G4.
I'm looking at getting a machine of my own next year.
 
Yes it is a good all round machine.

However, we would want to talk to you first and see exactly what your doing so we can help decide what the right machine for you is.

If it's mainly EWI and the occasional Mono job etc then yes.

If it is mainly Mono the. We would talk about job size etc and determine what suits you best.

The reason why we sell a range of machines from a range of manufactures is to offer a different machines to suit everyone's needs.

We always hire our machines out as well, this way you can try a few different ones and see what is for you.

For me it would be mainly Hardwall and multi, but we are not spraying multi at the moment. A few mono jobs but not many.

Hopefully our new machine will be ready soon and then that would be a thing to look out.

We have delayed the launch cause we want to make some more performance related enhancements ;-)

Like I said not looking for a machine just yet but will be (after I finish forking out for wedding) and need to sort out what to get. I have use of a G4 but something more portable friendly would be ideal.

Yet another post that I read on here where the answer to me is again minijet/monojet.
Why they don't make these anymore baffles.

Drive Motor: 5.5 kW

Electrical Supply: 3 Phase

Dimensions and weight: 1430mm x 670mm x 1150mm @ 165kg

I just checked, the skim setup is only available in the 240v version. We won't be selling this in the UK. We are working with M-tec to develop the conversion kit for 3 Phase.

You would also use a D,6-3 Rotor and and Stator.

The machine can also be broken down into parts quite easily if required.

We have a couple of used ones in our Hire Fleet.

looks a similar set up I assume any d pump will fit such as 4:3 and 3:4 , 4:2?

it must pump 30m in 3 phase running a 5.5kw motor.

it looks very alike to the putzkneckt s44, we nearly went for an s44 but it sold before we phoned. Then we got the minijet.

Hi John,

Yes, those R/S will fit.

On the spec sheets of the Monomix and the PFT version Im sure the conveying distance is the same, but you are correct you will pump further.

We may have a used one around if you interested or need to hire one

John if they were that popular then they would still be around, PFT likely saw the poor sales and so scrapped it. You wont shift one of them and a generator on a daily basis without someone to help you, you may as well go for a g4 as it takes the same effort to move and then u got a more powerful pump with a bigger hopper.

BUT ON SAYING THAT

You still drive round in a H reg Maestro van so maybe you are retro
 
And I drag my jet round in the back and can move it on a daily basis with my mate or even on my/his own but we got big balls up north. Like Les told is when we were training way back.
" don't be the bitch of the machine, make the machine your bitch".

If I need another pump it will be the ilk of the one I have here.
 
It does give me wood when i walk past it. Tell you what though, that filzomat thingy is getting used more and more these days, used it on sunday to rub up some normal sand/cement and it worked well.
