Hello fellas,
Good to see a new forum, have been plastering for 5 years or so.....love to plaster, i mainly do internal work, lathe n plaster wattle and dorb and new materails. I love to hurt myself on a regular basis..have been known to hit 100m in a day, but like my arm so dont try and do that all the time. My company has plastered 2 or the top ten kitchens in England as voted for by home and garden UK, we work for a few builders, funny enough a few kitchen companys, bathroom companys as well as my domestic customers. Im a raving piss taker, love to have a laugh as life is way too short. I'm alwaqys looking to further my skills in plastering.
I began my learnings at a short course college but really learnt my skills from a very old hand, who i must say is a fecking diamond bloke, and still is a fellow drinking partner although he doesnt work for me at present, instead works for a friend whos a builder. i feel i have alot to offer, most of it humour...so i look forward to getting involved ;)

welcome to the forum mate .......i agree plastering courses are great ;)

well nice to see im welcome boys......hope i can be of help here........
ps im a raving piss taker so please dont get biting......all ment in the best possible taste amnd all that. Im normally a regualr on another forum and help with advise ..but like the idea of a non college forum as its not biased in any way...danny sorry dude aint gonne buy u a beer just yeat mate.........but that time will come at some point im sure. Been doing up a customers thatched house from 1602 and im losing the will to live been there 3 weeks good money but had enough now , wattle and dorb and all that s**t, patchinh up areas with eml ...lots of it hands shredded and look like nicky lauders ...........I do alot of lath and plaster stuff so if u boys need any help in either areas or anything give us a shout on me email and ill tell u all i know.......which has been passed onto me by a friend whos been spreading since he was 15....the old fecker is now nearly 60...so there aint alot he dont know..and thus a great source of info....and let me tell u im trying to get as much out of him as possible before the old c**t forgets it .....lol
nice to meet you all

Hello,

My second income comes from internet marketing, I have been studying marketing and how to rank well in search engines for years. If you type plasterer milton keynes into google I am at the top (DVC Plastering) I rank in the first 5 of google for pretty much every search term I target.

I know people are paying £1k for websites to be designed by "proffessionals" but they have no idea how to promote them or even get them in the search engines so complete waste of money. A lot of work comes from my site and a lot of people go to me site to see my work it works a treat and only costs me a few pound a year.

As far as this forum I posted on ebuild, I personally think this site is definiately a cut above the rest....thats the reason I started it because the other forums just didnt tick the boxes. I even went to another company offering my services to update their forum and make it user friendly they told me to piss off I said I would start my own then they said you wont be competing with us..... we now knock them out of the water.

lol

Danny

im also on another very good plastering forum as well as the lord and downing forum....one is college associated which isnt a bad thing as they are very good at what they do there., with very good banter and some good friendships and networking made there.. Its also good to be on a good non affiliated forum ie dannys from what i see... as you can never get enough experiences from fellow spreads , ive found this has sped me up in my learning of this trade and other trades linked to this ( and realise that everyday is a school day...always learning)...no one man knows it all....and you dont realise how good or fast/smooth a really good plasterer is till you work or talk to one or any tradesman for that matter who's been at his trade 15/20 years or so, and theres always 10 ways to skin the same cat as you full well know, everyone has there own certain way of doing things and thats what i like about forums you can learn off each other.
Then theres lord and downing forum, although im not one of their regulars , ive asked for help and their thoughts at times on how to tackle some tricky jobs and situations and the boys have always come up trumps or given me ideas to tackle them...and am keeping a keen eye on machine applications and the boys on that forum knowledge of them , just not for me at the moment ( as i dont think the climate is there for a newbie machine man as i would be) ......with obviously their own unique banter on l&s....
what im trying to say..the longer i spend on forums learning the less time im losing at poker online..lol ;)
and DANNY thanks for the info on sites to, I do my own site on a mac but i know theres room for alot of improvement,, broke 2 ribs a fews years back ..laid up for a while so i thought i should do something with it as i couldnt cough sneaze ,laugh or w**k...so set up a site, domain ..google hitting tactics etc..and it has worked fairly good for me but was impressed with your rankings and placement......
