Plaster-boarding tips between floors

Hi,
I’m new to the forum and have a question for which I’ve been unable to find an answer.
I’m currently at the stage where I’m beginning to board between the 1st floor and ground floor of my home renovation and have a question about overlapping boards.The area in question is the landing. See pic below.
Should the vertical board overlap the horizontal board on the ceiling or vice versa?

Board ceiling to the edge. Board up to ceiling after.. Is that what you are asking otherwise I'm with that door knob trump. Confused.

No difference if you do it the way other way though and wall first. Join will be in the same place

Vertical first , bedded on addy , papered edge down and set to level the joist out
Then addy to bed ceiling board , papered edge obviously
