Plaster or artex

Hi just wondering can anyone confirm if this is plaster or artex. From what is broken it looks like the swirls are on the plaster?

It’s quite common to do the swirl with plaster tbh can’t tell off the picture though as it could be Artex as Artex is applied thinly , or the white could be paint

It's been swirled in plaster either multi or board finish

Thank you was worried it might be proper artex as we live in an older house and I have a toddler.
