Plasterboard onto the underside of RSJ?

yeah still at the mad house ---- its a case of preserving the knee and elbow joints, however its mashing my mental well-being :inocente::reloco:

Insta stik is the best sticking foam there is in my option, I tried them all. Wear gloves. If you wet board with a brush of water, not much. Spray foam to board then kiss board onto substrate, take off and then re stick after 2mins with props under length of timber it's golden in 20ish mins. The addition of water helps speed the foam cure up.
Don't go mental with foam or it will end up where're you don't want it, on doors etc.
You will prob need to use fireboard on a steel too.

Christ this is being made hard work!
This is what uni is for!
Failing that if your a bit of a skeptic then I'd use plas-prime and then adhesive. It's not going anywhere, dab it tight so there's no weight.
Hey presto job done!

Use fire board, dab tight so should be no more than 15-16mm per board (depends if BO wants 2 layers or not prop up with 4x2 on edge till it's gone off. Alls good.

Just dab and if you have to ,mechanically fix to stop it from popping off,you could blue grit and then dab catching the end of nogins with screws.
