None taken mate I’m not doubting him in anyway and have maximum respect. I know a few who do massive gauges and it’s brutal but with a good system in place it isn’t all that bad. As algee says he finds it comfortable

Every jobs different for me mate. All plastering but each with a twist.

Other day had an absolutely battered lath lid. Over-boarding wasn’t an option so out of 3 quotes i was only one to take it on. Alot only know how to skim board.

Skimming board is like a treat. Doing it everyday massive gauges would be brutal tho I imagine

As long as your making money mate that's the main thing.I normally make more doing aquick bedroom set for Mrs Jones than blasting two big hits on site,however I find when on price on board I adapt piece of piss and fly tbh.I did some jubo walls I recently posted and hadnt done any in awhile.Although prices on site now are good and any half decent spread should be able to make money.

Definitely mate. Some of the older spreads I know smashed site in younger years now just domestic.

I can’t complain about what I earn or
How much work I get. Domestic jobs can be a headache sometimes but overall I enjoy it.
 
Fairplay mate that's the main thing.I would like to spend my last years on domestics however on 35 so got awhile yet lol.

Personally I could not give two shits how many gauges these brain dead iddiots spread bottom line is no money in internal skimming on site mugs game..
I’ve just got back on the machine with a good team and I’m earning twice the amount what any good site skimmer makes in a week days

Don't really think there brain dead mate as there doing there bit to provide for families etc.If your making good money fairplay to you and sure that's what we're all doing or trying to do.As for site work rates above are good,I have as all team and would do well out of it and by paying my lads well aswell.Think this is why rates shouldn't get discussed as it ends up like this and insults fellow spreads.

I rarely comment on posts where people are offering work but.....
I'm really not surprised that you're struggling to get people to f&s for £9sqm., not even a little bit.
How many guys are there still out there that can f&s to a decent standard, let alone that can cover the SQM. needed to make it worthwhile? Very, very few would be my guess.

Not struggling mate just wanted people to know there’s still work there if anyone’s interested.
But u only have to do 10-12 bags of hardwall and skim for £270 a day. Big areas as well.

Well said Andy that is a FACT not many plasterers even know how to hold a straight edge..
The dot and dab has took the skill factor away from the trade.
It would be hard work to cover the m2s to a decent standard for any one who Is not familiar with f and s.

We would be doing more than 12 bags a day my man..we have the putzmeister machine 12 bags have normally pumped through that by 830 in the morning.
I’d love to help you out but we are flat out at the mo
