when i was plastering at an mod base.faslane.coolport.we were told you were not allowed to use pva.it was hardwall and multy on to new block work.any budy know why this is.or worked on a base.

if you read the instructions on a bag of hardwall it will tell you not to use pva with hardwall.

You would not use pva on the block work cos hardwall is designed for high suction backgrounds and if you used pva it would not be high suction any more i suppose. And as already said earlier if you float on the morning and skim on the afternoon you should never have to use pva on the hardwall either.

I did some work at a mod base.

Every day on the way out, I used to kick over all their scooters.

Was asked to price for an M.O.D. job and the list of do's and don'ts was a fkin nightmare.........mind you there was a lot of live gear about like :RpS_thumbup:

when ever you work for MoD you must carry out the instruction to the letter. the choice of materials and the method that they are applied are to their choice not yours. we always price this work very high as there is always alot of tasks to be carried out. they would bankrupt most contractors.
