Hi
I am getting different answers on which side of Glasrock board you should plaster.
Can anyone help please.
A customer had dabbed this glasroc board into his fire opening for a log burner, i went round to skim it for him it was the smooth side I skimmed on,never had a call back on it
I told him this aswell mate he had a cowboy builder in basically that done a kitchen extension along with a log burner opening, chimney breast he had dabbed normal 12.5mm plasterboard on the front and side of the fireplace and glasroc on the inside openings it was a massive opening to be fair but still I offered the customer to take it back to bare brick and s&c render with lime,I told the customer the builder knows f**k All but he wasn't bothered he just wanted it skimming so I done it but surprised never had a call back from iti am surprised that it did not catch fire it is only fibre glass.
