Plastering hall an stairs ceiling

I've over boarded my hall ceiling coz of distemper but I can't get a fixing on the 45' bit leading to to adjacent wall can I just wash the distemper all off then pva an skim?

Can you not use longer screws and get a fixing right along the edge, where you have screwed the board thats already up

There's only Batton around the edge nothing in the middle an the old bit of Board is bowed bad so when I put the new board on can't push it up and fix it

Also can I just use skim Bead open up for the 135' bits

Id screw round the perimeter and some no nail in the middle if you're worried about it bouncing in the middle although aslong as you don't have a joint it shouldn't matter too much. I would use a thin coat stop bead

Use a finish stop bead for the angle.

If you're worried about plastering on that bit, remove the board, put some batons in the right places and re-board.

I'm not worried just asking weather you can skim after washing the distemper off?
An to pva or something else?

Probably the best way to do it, that way you know its all on new board and everything is fixed properly

As above take of the board , pop in a few battons, job done.

Yeah stop bead but scrim around the angle first is best.
