Plastering in Italy

Hi everyone, has anyone had experience of plastering in Italy. Do they sell british gypsum products...Multi finish, beads etc. I've got a customer who recently bought a place in a ski resort and is keen for me and my little team to refurb the apartment.

look for a lime top finish product? They finish very close to gypsum and are still used world wide but they require smaller sets and can go straight on board, render etc

Not that crazy an idea.
Some spreads I know did it to south of France. They didn't like the gear over there on first trip so hired cheap van took all the gear with them. Knocked the job out a lot quicker.
Twas in summer months though. So was more enjoyable.

Taking gear over isn't a bad idea many have done it before including a few off here but, have you factored brexit into your trans European contract ?????

Well I spoke to British Gypsum Exports this morning and also Fassa Portolo UK this afternoon. British Gypsum do not sell off the shelf the other side of the channel. Fassa Portolo said they make a plaster similar to multi finish and their rep will call me tomorrow. Looking at the websites including Saint Gobain Gyproc it looks totally confusing. I'm going to wait for all the reps to call me back in the morning.

Incidentally, building work is not permitted during the skiing season for obvious reasons. So it's a June start if all goes to plan.....and Brexit? well who knows....
