Got to plaster whole house walls and ceilings all covered in medium thickness artex.
My question is what do you find best way to get good finish.
Do you let PVA dry completely?
Do you skim while say bonding or hardwall green?
The reason. I ask is sometimes on the skim over artex its like you get a reaction in the plaster. Its either the pva still wet in the deep parts of artex or the plaster wetter in those parts. Hope that makes sense.
Well as I have whole house to do how do you guys think is best way. Thanks for any advice. Never get problems over boards or re skims. Want to finally perfect the skimming over artex as its holding me back. Thanks!

1) scrape high points
2)50/50 mix pva and let dry

3) 1st coat mix (add half dozen scoos of bonding to a bag of multi) flatten
4) 2nd coat multi alone

works a treat mate it makes a lovley mix for covering heavy artex without the need to do 3 coats etc

good luck

Just done a ceiling over artex, pva’d it then slapped it on, didn't fuckabout to much with it, couple of bits need attention but otherwise job is nice, didn't want to trowel anymore in case it started peeling..

When you make toasted cheese, do you toast both sides then fire cheese on , or toast one side then fire cheese on untoasted side?life is tuff..

One side , not under grill in a dry frying pan ( not too hot, timing is critical) rub a bit of veg oil or even rub a garlic clove over first. Then load the other side with cheese and grill or if you fancy something different another lazy snack; beat egg, pour into trumpet, under grill...French trumpets..lovely with a dash of Worcestershire :RpS_thumbsup:
