Ive bought and used the speedskim, I am open to new ideas, but a plastic skimming trowel is bollox and i certainly dont need to try one lads.. you wont get a better finish than with a steel trowel so why **** about trying one, i am pretty certain you would look like some DIYer from B and Q with one.. plastic trowel..lmao.. do some people just sit around coming up with stupid ideas ... is this a I've been framed thread ?? lol... seriously we are plasterers arent we ?? plastic trowel my arse..

No sitting on the fence Cassie, don't like them myself but would of liked them if I had got second mug.

Haha I would happily join you getting laughed of site after all your plastic trowel/cavity closer is the same only 2ft bigger told you to go to the G** section looking at my arms haha in there ile show you my ass tattoo

Move with the times :-) Who ever though sticking insulation on the outside of buildings would ever take off?
 
Same thing with cooking, when acrylic knives first came out they were slated. Now They are getting more and more popular. I know 2 spreads , very goods ones as well, both been plastering 20 years. One loves his plazzie so much I think it's unhealthy, the other absolutely hates them with a passion. For me personally, if you hit your set just right and take of your plazzie it takes a lot of pressure off the wrist and closes in lovely. Just my opinion and not a statement of fact before you start chucking tomatoes at me.
 
I don't get how a plastic trowel can finish plaster faster than steel when multi/board finish has its own setting time no matter what material your trowel is made of ?? I may be as thick as a whale ommlette but I thought I'd ask??
