Please advise the best options after ruining the walls with an expired multifinish

Good morning.
Someone helped me with applying the multifinish but didn't know that it can not be sanded afterwards and didn't know about an expiry date.
Now I have ruined the walls and stuck what to do next.
I tried to sand one little wall with sand vibration machine and it takes quite a while. Afterwards I applied ready mix filler. However I have a fealing that I would never get the ideal wall myself.
Next week I will be meeting the plasterer but still undecided if it's too hard to learn myself a new skill.
I thought to buy tomorrow an easy fill 60 but I read that someone does not recommend to do it around the entire room.
My other option would be to do decorative plaster..
Tomorrow I plan to finish applying ready mix filler and see how it looks. But I believe the wall would still have visible bumps...

Do you think I can apply easy fill myself up to 3mm-5mm and get even walls without bumps or is re-plastering with the professional is the only solution?
I am going to try soon to finish applying ready mix filler and see the result.

That needs re-skimming. Tbh, out of date plaster or not, your mate is out of his depth anyway as it looks like the background hasn’t been prepped properly. What were you skimming over?

Thank you for your suggestions.
Today I managed to remove in 4 hours the multifinish from one wall.
The next plan is to remove at least from the window wall in order to protect the building wall with anti mold solution.
I know this is the plasterer forum but I have read about thermal liner/wallpaper and I now think to go with the wallpaper.

Do you think would thermal liner keep the heat in longer or is it just a marketing trick?

get a good sander with extractor and sand it...
Use a big block of wood and use as many lights as you can and sand till it wont sand no more... fill the low spots
 
I have decided to remove most of the old multi finish and already completed 3 walls in three days(working for about 5 hours per day).
I am trying to find now the correct plaster to try to do the venetian walls.

Just get it done properly
