Poor quality/finish of work.

I don't need to add to the chorus saying that it's bad work, you don't need to be a plasterer to see that.

I would question paying him for materials though. If someone chucked a brick through your window and damaged your living room, would you offer to pay them for the brick? It doesn't matter if the materials were free, or a million pounds, nor the state of the person who used them's finances. He's used them to ruin a room.

Not only would I not pay him a penny, I'd be looking to recoup the costs of getting it back to the point at which he rode up on his horse.

It certainly is mate!!
Poor quality/finish of work.

Well I’ve pulled him about it on Thursday, haven’t heard a wink back! So he either knows he’s done a shite job or is seeking legal advice in regards to non payment

You're a nicer man than me...or a mug. I wouldn't have offered him a penny and I don't think that there's one person on this site that will say that you should. If he'd mostly done a good job but you wanted snagging done or weren't happy with one particular thing, then that's one thing but the whole thing re-done, f**k him.

He'll either get better at plastering fast or have to go and do something else instead, won't he? Out of interest, what was his work rate like?

Haven’t given him anything. £800 for living room, landing and 2 bedrooms! So not too pricey but that’s not the point, if you’re offering a service it should be of a good standard!

You’ve got exactly what you paid for unfortunately. Are you from donny?

5 days... that’s without finishing the biggest room.

Sounds and looks like a man far far out of his depth....£800 is way too cheap. The five daysis about right (for me anyway) but six or seven days work for £800 inc materials is about £100 a day, less deisel and all....£80 a day....But then you know that now.

Difference is unreal!

The money I've seen the cuunts make .....I'm in the wrong game lol
I used to do a lot of work for a kitchen company back in London roughly 10yrs ago and the guvnor always used to say to me why don’t you give up that Plastering game, it’s to bloody hard! Get into kitchen fitting because it’s a piece of piss and you can earn a fortune lol.
I never listened to him hahahahaha!!
