Was thinking of getting a power float for rendering. Has anyone used them? Are they any good? Refinas the go to brand but one stop shop is selling one aswell has anybody used that one as well?
Cheers

I was just looking at getting the refina one myself... Worth ago definately.. Ive just seen the p1ss shops version be interested to see the comparison myself.. Especially for the rendering season starting again

Did you get the cordless one im debating on taking the plunge just how long the batterys lasts putting me off
No got the corded one they've got a long lead on them and doesn't hinder you, no loss of power and power floats use a lot don't know how the batteries keep up to be honest they pull your arms around.
I ain't sold on battery s**t!

I've got the p1ss one and it's great on ocr and s&c, you need boulder shoulders for it though. I bought the refina scratcher attachment for mono and it's stupidly overkill in my opinion

heath ledger love GIF

I watched a guy use it on YouTube an my conclusion was he ended up going back over it with a hand plastic float.. didn’t sell the product enough for me.

I saw one of those YouTube vids aswell. The good thing is it looks like you can give first float while it's still wet or is that bulls#@t

Yeah that's me mate. I might not do sand and cement rendering for months and then i get loads of it. I'm up for anything that can make my life a bit easier

I’ve got an Eibenstock one and i love it. Takes so much shoulder work out and gets it so flat. Different attachments too make them versatile.

Do you use the plastic diamond float attachment when rubbing up base coat ready for the final top coat? I noticed you only get the sponge with the machine now was gonna order as well

I got one in a set but honestly I don’t use it. With a decent serrated rule it’s very flat anyway.
