Pral M advice.

Hi all, my bosses brother (a bloody sparky) has bought a house and is currently renovating. The old render has been hacked back to stone. He wants a mono finish. My boss is very traditional and only really uses s&c, iv used weber for my own work always on blockwork so don’t claim to be an expert. The issue is the stone is all over the place and need a few coats to dub out to get reasonably flat! So as my boss is looking to me for advice on this one, can we just dub out and get flat with A few coats of s&c ( i haven’t seen the stonework but imagine its a good 3 coats) then stipple with rendaid and apply pral m as normal?
As I said my boss is traditional but wants a go at the modern stuff seen as its on his brothers house in case of a f**k up!!

its deffo pre 1900s.

I have done it in the past with good success. Put waterproofer in your coats but not in your final top coat so you have some suction and hopefully even suction. Scratch wavy and not too deep to avoid sag lines

Top off with 10mm peak.m or more.

If it’s a stone substrate with lime mortar I’d be using a lime based scratch render ie Parex Clair/moyen if that makes me a tit fair dos.

Well I never..... I would have wrote cementous as well but it comes up as spelt wrong. Cementitious actually is a word!
