Wow. Talk about a captive market. Amazed no one set one up in your village, before.


Round my way, it's the other way around:

seems every week there's another hair or nail salon - the sheer stupidity of setting up yet another identical business premises in a market that's already beyond saturated, just boggles the mind. Makes you wonder what these numbnuts are thinking when they can see there's already so many people competing with them (often several on the same street).

Sounds like an opportunity for someone to buy a patch of land, get A2 planning, and open up a chinese takeaway - some of those places make hundreds of grand a year.

Crazy...

I've been trying to buy in bulk but pathetic discounts on a pallet of plasterboard or plaster...

We are lucky as a trade as materials in general are cheap...

I do look at my prices now and the jaw drops on average I'm charging £2 - £2.5K for average size Victorian room would have been half that a few years ago...
