Hi
just been offered some work on price.
dot & dab & skim £3.75 m2
is this a piss take or is it the going rate in sheffield.
cheers

Do you mean £3.75 to stick and then another £3.75 to skim?

Just kidding I know you don't mean that and no I wouldn't work for that rate.

I totally agree with what your saying but I've got no work and need to pay bills. I thought the going rate should be about £6/7 m2

Fucksake just need half decent money.
Not shy of graft. Also looking at getting a used ritmo to try and save the old bones.
Just need a chance to get goin.
Ive organised a 2 and 1 gang and where ready to go.
is there anyone out there who needs a hand?

Shouldn't discuss prices on here bud, I know it's frustrating bud, If there is nothing else you can jump on in my opinion you have no choice

Will just have to kill it for slightly over min wage

History is repeating itself S27. When supply is higher than demand then there is always someone who is fit enough and hard up enough to give it a go. But when the market turns around and the boot is on the other foot that is when these tight arsed companies struggle to get anyone. It's not Lloyd Clough or JD Jones is it? They have never paid good money but oddly enough have spreads who have stuck with them for years.

Think serious about a Ritmo for skimming work. A lot of capital outlay and it might put loads of m2 on really fast but can you trowel it up as fast? Now if it was MP75 or Hardwall then yes!!

i agree.
the ritmo would be used for skim initially, and I'm thinking of trying to get some ewi work in future. but most of all I like the fact it takes the graft out of puting it on the walls. Plus every bit of plaster that's sprayed is freshly mixed giving you more time to finish it, couple it with a speedskim and I might not fall asleep as soon as I get home (knackerd).
Then again I might be totally wrong.
not long now, before I can get in the private section:)

Jd jones don't do site work as such anymore. They got a handful of men and just do domestic and small extensions.

Tell them to double it or fcuk off. That's insulting and anyone that works for that or similar is a total mug.

I'm not a mug but I've got bills to pay. Meeting him Monday any ideas on the best way to negotiate for more money.

That sounds like you'll be so close to Xmas you'll be scared to actually say anything. Take the work if you need to, but you should be actively seeking other jobs so that you can dump ones like this.

I know where you're coming from "mouths to feed" and all that :RpS_thumbup:
