PVA,plasprime,thistlebond it, blue grit pink grit etc

What is the real difference between all of these products for skimming over walls and ceilings . Is it just PVA with sand, are we paying mad prices for what we can make ourselves? Do we really need all the colours to make it look professional ?

the colour was to show that you are useing the correct type, either internal or external. these where developed in europe years ago.

the external grit could not get a british standard cert. so therefore only the internal git is used in uk

Probably about £25 depending where you get it from.

Never used anything other than PVA before, but haven't done any acrylics so maybe that's why...

they had developed these coloured grits in europe years ago, in the uk they where still sparrow pecking walls!
