Just the fact that I was askin if anyone still uses Pva. Ive used Pva for ages but was startin to think I was only **** still usin it . Why??

We used to over board or patch and over skim ceilings when wed been ordered to rip em down and re board on the old insurance work. Had to do a small bathroom ceiling once. Stripped the wall paper off it and it was absolutely perfect. As if itd been skimmed that morning. Just cleaned up and ****** off. Got paid for it still lol

My sisters kitchen ceiling was a mess, had awful lines on it from years of painting. Bit started flaking so got my trowel under it and the paint came off in sheets. Ceiling wasn't sealed with a mist coat. Still re-skimmed it as it was family but was pretty near perfect as it was.
