Crincle cut.?View attachment 31829This is what I’m wanting to do to mine, anyone hazard a guess at the chips used on this?
Duh..............Irish plasterer???Found a supplier and got them ordered. Anyone know best way to install them?
I’m installing them in my own home before I render it, I’ve rendered one or two houses before just never installed these lolDuh..............Irish plasterer???
I just thought about this. You arent going to try and install them on a house that is already rendered and finished are you?
Ffs mate I get it Irish plasterers are amazing, everyone else is shite. Any chance you can let someone explain who knows what I’m talking about please? Thanks xYou had better find preferably a west of Ireland plasterer to ask him advice or do it for you. I say west of Ireland because just as in the UK the style of houses changes with the area.
From what I remember seeing someone for a short while doing it there are strips of timber hammered to the wall to either support or position these corner stones. And the reveals around the windows are off a heavy concrete sill and or formed with lots of timber hammered to the wall and all hand forming.
I think the corner stones are put on before the scratch coat. But sometimes the block work may be 'scudded' first with 2-1 sand and cement............................not sure but plasterer would know.
But to be honest a west of Ireland plaster would fly through this job. Irish plasterers would p1ss English plasterers as in Ireland everything is sand and cement inside and outside on block. Their mixers are big towable diesel mixers not little half bag's.

Not what I was saying but not really a UK design so not common. If I was gonns have job done I would want someone experienced but you may be different.....work away.Ffs mate I get it Irish plasterers are amazing, everyone else is shite. No offence and not telling you how to do anything...............but if you can render why not do it the same as all the others with cheap as f**k sand and cement. If you dont like it scrap it off before dry. What you lost a bag of cement?Someone must have fitted these before, thinking just squeezing them onto the wet scratch coat and hoping for best
There not the ones I bought, I just googled them to give yous an idea of what I was talking about. Mine are same shape only thinner. I don’t have the time to be arsing about trying to do something which will no doubt look s**t as I’ve never done it before. Just going to buy these, stick them on then roughcast the cu nt so the wife will get off my back. £260 there costing meNo offence and not telling you how to do anything...............but if you can render why not do it the same as all the others with cheap as f**k sand and cement. You may even get some of your dosh back on the stone cladding and you wont be too far out of pocket.
Them things your bought look real heavy duty and may f*ck up the whole job if anything goes wrong in future.
Only a suggestion.

Cheap as chips - It’s under a tenner a tube. Quick, clean, easy to use and it’s designed for these types of application....no brainer IMO.Yeah used it before but is it not expensive?
