recycled all in

anybody used recycled all in which was delivered for me thinking i was having sand and 3/4 chippings for concreting a hard standing,the all in was bits of brick and blocks and some bits of brick up to 40mm and supposedly sand and black in colour it was off putting to use,will i get a finish especially with a edgeing trowel

Doupt if you will edge it,how about using the recycled for the bulk and top it and do the edges with standard ballast,

Are you sure its a substitute for ballast and not for Type 1
