Render below DPC and below soil level

Hi all,

We are midway through a low energy build with 150mm of graphite EPS insulation being attached to all external walls. Above DPC we are going for EWI Pro 075 render (thin coat silicone) with the following build up: existing cavity brickwork - levelling mortar - primer - adhesive - EPS - adhesive - mesh - primer top coat - render.

To achieve our heat loss targets we need to extend the EPS insulation below the DPC and a little way underground. EWI Pro have recommended 'mosaic render' for this purpose. Is there anything else we can do (for example tanking the masonry) to stop rising damp etc becoming an issue?

Thanks in advance for any advice

thanks bobski sounds great, what do you put on top of the EWI Aquabase? I spoke to K Rend today and they suggested finishing below DPC with just sand/cement (GP mix)
