Welcome mate ,is the Eml straight on the ply with the membrane behind it ,no gap to allow the render to key with the EML ?

ply then membrane then eml then s+c scratch coat and top coat but theres big cracks in it thats why i scrimmed it
whats feds btw?

The first coat should of been allowed to dr
y for a week before second was applied, the should of had fibres and possibly embedded mesh, you may now have too much weight to allow any more added on. You need to know previous strengths to know what to apply now anyway. Pre bagged white render with embedded mesh may be a solution

why pre bagged and not s+c? its only a 10 mm coat that i'm putting on the render was solid but just had hairline cracks all over it.
the only thing thing thats annoying me is the ceiling is getting done too so once iv'e done that again its prob gonnae be a 20mm coat which is a bit of a weight for a ceiling!!!

Are architects still using this system , walked away , never done one without a problem and that was 20 years ago ,things have moved on , better products on the market , best of luck mate

cant walk away its a builder i do regular work for.he got someone else when i was on holiday and this is what i come back to:RpS_mad:

we pulled eml off ply that had not been battened ,and the eml had acted like a shield , stopping the sand and cement from keying.
it needs to have battens so that the sand and cement can get round the back of the eml to key.
we only use rib lath.
