Just found that ratio on another forum so I’ll go with that to be honest. Does sound pretty weak but I’ll go with it. For the area size it’s worth risking it.

I do appreciate the offer but I’ve built the whole thing myself, no help on any part of it, even lifting the catnic into place! so I want to finish it all myself.
I don’t want to do bagels render just in case it fails. Budgets budgets.
No problem...i was just suggesting as its such a small job thst you could use a better product for very little difference in costs that would stand a better chance of staying on.

yes I can get the one coat render but I can only get it in one colour cheaply and I don’t want that colour. So I’m going sand and cement.
I’m just gonna try the 5-1 6-1-1 sand cement line. We will see what happens
