Rendering on thermalite

Hi

I've been asked to render an extension which has been built with thermalite blocks. Can I use krend basecoat with mesh in to cover then sand and cement render on top as it's pebble dash on the existing.

You could rendaid it mesh then use a one coat dash receiver the weber one
