hi could some 1 tell me the coverage for a 22m2 concrete block external wall, the wall is a very rough job so the first scratch coat wiil be around a thickness of up to 12 mm.

if you have 1 and a quarter ton of sand this allows for a small amount of waste with 2 coats at 12mm, 10 cement 1 lime.

i agree marra i was just thinking out loud............:RpS_thumbsup:. its £35 for a dumpy of plastering sand or £2.20 a bag
i purchase sand direct from pit, loaded on to our own truck £13 per ton

if you purchase a bag from builders merchant it is only 3 quarters of a ton @ £35

plastering sand is always available it has got a british standard number

Not from all pits Malc. I don't know if you've ever had any sand from Dewicks out at Bradwell, but if they washed all the silt out of their building sand there'd be nothing left to sell. lol.
