do you lads do anything to preatreat commons before rendering? ive been asked to do a job and asked if we could give it a stipple just to be cautious but have been told to go straight over it or use neat sbr ???

Your right mate neat sbr dont do alot neat it needs to be made into a slurry for it to take effect all you will be doing is sealing the bricks and making them smoother with less key.

SBR makes the scratch coat go solid but when you top it off it sucks the life out of it even with a good soaking i would just wet the brick work and just scratch it, never had a problem with doing that in the past, it seems like spunkys trying to find a solution to a none existant problem :D

Same as above, just scratch it as normal spunky, as bod said never had any problems.
