Folks, i am a DIY plasterer (get that out the road first) can manage skimming but recently my mate asked me to render his house wall just above kitchen window where it is leaking ( a no cost job). You can actually see the cracks. My question is this. I have done a K rend job on my mothers garage and it looks great. I would like to use a ready mix mortar bag to do this then add the peas to match his existing. Can i use ready mix mortar instead of 4 and 1 sand cement mix? I just find it easier having used it to lay slabs last year saves the dry mixing?

Will you be using garden peas or marrowfat?

Frozen.

As an alternative to peas you could use sweetcorn. It gives a nice effect as they're not as spherical as peas. I should caution though, don't accept any offers from forum members who say they'll 'mine your sweetcorn'. Especially not if it's @Olican and he's grinning at you whilst scraping the jelly from a pork pie crust.

I'm sick and tired of being labelled the 'pork pie jelly lubricant deviant ' or ppjld on here, occasionally I splash out on a Frey bentos , cut the lid off wear it as a hat, eat the meat and leave the sauce!

..always "eat the meat, leave the sauce" guys !
