We told guy to get 25mm screws for 1st layer he got 35mm..he went or there will do lolYou have to use the correct length screws so that you don't go through the board and resi bar into the joust, or that defeats the object of doing it. The bar hangs down forming a void of about half an inch between the joist and the back of the board. This acts like an acoustic cushion.

Yes mate I'd done lots of it but didn't know the price of the linear metre I always worked it out how long it would take and priced accordingly [emoji2]Leroy wasn't u on about res bar on another thread a while ago saying uve been offered 0.80p a meter on some flats?
Its a load of bolloxs in my opinion its just another salary for sum numpty to cum out with his sound testing kit..i know there's ment to be 3 different kind of sounds or sum s**t..i think them soundboards are s**t as well..ive parge coated a party wall in plenty of houses then dabbed soundboards on and I've still heard lads nxt door talking its a load of s**tWhat makes me laugh is you do all this then they Put a lost of holes in the ceiling for spot lights haha
