The Ritmo Xl Duo phase is the machine that will do everything for rendering. It will need a big 400 ltr compressor to achieve the best looking finish for top coats but the compres supplied with it will allow you to spray a textured finish and you need your generator to avoid any problems pumping mono in single phase. treat using the machine in single phase as you would going direct of the water supply. If you know there may be a problem don't risk it you have all the kit there to get through a days spraying.

ha used the xl today on a 50m spray all on ground level(posh garden walls) in single phase and it was faultless. Not a hiccup. I could swear that the output of the xl in both phases is the same. The water setting was the same as the last spray we did in 3 phase. It didnt feel any slower at all. I don't think ive explored the single phase on it enough really. Got a bit scared when it tripped the power out twice in a house before. Today was at a house 5 yrs old so the electrics were prob in better shape than the 50s semi we had problems in. I don't think id ever leave the house without the genny on the van for backup but im gonna do a lot more experimentation in single to test its limits. We're already £10 up on the fuel saved and there's something about spraying in silence.......completely different experience to having a screaming genny ruining the feng shui:-)

ur right there eeeeee using the reliability in single phase is only as good as the source at the house/site. If someone fancys a pot noodle in there mid spray ur buggered!

never bothered myself but i may be worth keeping a record of where it rips and where it doesnt so you can ask a sparky why and tell him the difference in power sources. Then you will know just by seeing the fuse box or whatever u gotta see.

It is cowin lush ala german stylee turning the machine to standby and you can here the radio

are you looking at a 6kva honda genny to run the xl and other machines off single?? the reason i ask is as long as your in tune with pumping distance limits of ur machine i'd prob run it off single if i can get away with it and would prob keep a single phase genny on the van in case of tripouts on site. The economy and smaller size of the gennie would save a bit in running costs over the bigger 3 phase and would prob amount to a bit over the year. That said though have already got the 3 phase gennie so payback on the fuel savings of a new smaller gennie would be offset by the purchase price. I suppose having 3 phase on the van to cover all eventualities and stupid distances will calm the sphincter down nicely

we hooked up the ritmo m to a 6.5 kva and it wouldnt run it. I think your going to need 8.5 just be on the safe side. better to have to much and all that.

owww kinky roberts whas ocurring........were you using the big compressor when you tried the 6.5kva generator? I would have thought it would work because its a 1.5hp motor albeit inverted to 3 phase

hardwall's a doddle to spray as its lightweight. gonna be spraying adhesive tomorrow with the xl on site supply.....cwm on

What does that mean mate do you mean for the genny for the ritmo? What size are you using bud

6.5kva i think but it has a avr Spunky and yes it's for a ritmo, i have sprayed hardwall with a 4.8kva basic genny but hardwall is easier on the pump than mono.

The only adheasive i've applied with mine is HPX and it handled it no problem with generator. Ritmo at half speed, 12.5m hose.

we didnt know it was 20m and its was a prerend which is sticky and heavy. mind you the ritmo did complain at first until merlin gave it a good smack with a scaf pole, then is did what it was told

yes Nick, nice little machine. when you think we were spraying mp75 one week then next mono, addy and bucket coat. its ideal for the smaller jobs .

5m is ideal because it doesnt take long to run the gear through it , it doesnt get tangled round the scaff, doesnt take long to clean out and it gives paul something to do ,lol
