This has always baffled me as well Pete. So much for German efficiency, it's as if things are set up for people to fail.

Ok nice one for everyone’s input the simple fix from Les was having it on speed 10 prior to mixing not what I had it on 7

On speed 10 was the problem? My machine never comes off speed 10.

Ah....never thought of speed setting but even so speed 7 should be ok but under 5 would give a problem. Maybe too much water for the speed?

Looking at the pic it looks like its just under speed 5?

O have this one what’s the top tip for getting the bottom back on with out leaking took it apart to clean it all and now can’t seem to stop the water leaking out the back of it - obviously I have tried to tighten the two bolts

Mixing chamber mustn’t be sat in right, have you just changed r&s? Is the paddle sat in that right to?

Just taken it apart as there was a build up of old render from the previous owner so I’ve cleaned all the inside

Basecoats are bad for doing that.

Try put it on first without the paddle in keep it flat to the mixing chamber then put paddle in when sorted

Make sure you tighten the bolts up equally

Put it on straight

Silicone might help, once you use it things will sort themselves out.
