got a small patch of rough cast to do on sunday whats the best way to do a patch of about a meter ,its been taken back to the orignal scratch coat.and how do u mix it ???
 
I d go with a 5x1 with a half shovel of lime let that set up abit then mix your sand stone cement and lime together in mixer or just mix with drill getting the mix right is the key to a good finish you don't want it that thick that it heaps up on your scoop idealy it should level out on the scoop its hard to explain but as said get the mix right and don't throw it on till nice and firm and you'll be sorted mate

i might even do this because it will blend in better when painted
