S/c over pebbledash.

Hi all. Got a job to do for a mate, so need to keep cost down as much as possible. What's everyone's opinion on sbr slurry or eml screw and plug. The pebbledash is sound so no worries about it pulling off.

I would say SBR slurry would be more cost effective

if substrate is solid as you say, sbr and crack on how much more key are you going to need ,pebble dashing as a good key for s+c , no one other than you who as looked at the job can say much more, everything and everyone would be guessing about the job without seeing it.:RpS_thumbup:

Plain float and sponge. Thought it would be ok to sbr and coat as normal, was looking for a bit of reassurance really!

i would sbr slurry and coat as normal once the dash is sound

you probably could if you grind out brick joints first ,give s+c a bit of a mechanical key , or mesh it and when first coat as set drill and plug with mushroom plugs ?

strengths all well and good but he's going over painted brick , I was told to mesh it and drill and plug with mushrooms , so you can drill and plug s+c if it as fibres in ?

Mesh would be a lot better than fibres in my opinion.
