s*p*r*lex trowels have not been designed for laying on. The are purely for finishing. Most guys are using them Flattening and Finishing

they do lay on nice though ry very rarely do i get a mt out to skim with now, unless a wall it all over the place

Been finishing with the nela s*p*r*lex just not enough flex in the toe for me seems a bit ridged seem to tear the skim just in them awkward places pulling in with the toe good trowel though

I have said this to Ryan @Plasterers1StopShop. Its because its too narrow and needs to be as wide as the Refina!! If they manage that?? I'd even be tempted to try one!! :-0 Not with that cork handle tho that's just wrong !!!

Neither but I second coat and finish with my Refina s*p*r*lex! The Nela is too narrow and needs to be wider to be as good as the Refina (yes the Nela seems to be better made) but I'l will keep saying it till people listen!! The Nela is too narrow! Hence not as much flex as the Refina!!

I don't mind the width mate that's one of the reasons I bought it don't think by making it wider is going to altar the blade will still be flexible think the metal plate needs shortning by 10mm this would make it more flexible

Why does the width matter if your not laying on with it?
The NELA Blade is 0.3mm and Refina is 0.5mm, we can make another version to match Refina's. To be honest though, the amount of people we have using the NELA and prefer it to others and are happy with the width compared to those who don't. Wouldn't really justify making a new one...

The reviews we have had have said it is perfect... I have even had people call me to say don't change a thing
