3 bags seems like a lot for 17m2 artex or notDriving me off my f**k**g head this finish is, I’ve not had a single decent bag since before Xmas
17 mtr ceiling, fan Artex, 3 f**k**g bags of finish, each coat pulled in well I’m a 40 minute drive from the nearest merchant and I haven’t even got a half bag knocking about in the van to sort this out. It seemed like each coat wet back the the previous coat, it’s slimy as f**k and feels grainy. Arrrr
I find that the fanned artex patterns always holds the pva. getting impatient and slapping it on to early doesn’t help. User error.Driving me off my f**k**g head this finish is, I’ve not had a single decent bag since before Xmas

Whatever it is it makes us look like right cowboy c**tsI've never had an issue before. Had a new delivery of multi on job today n worst I've ever used. Just like pictures lurpak put up. Was like trowling up sand! Set rapid. Tearing like f**k. Even twitching angles was ripping gear. Awful stuff. Wonder if it's cause bags been stored in freezing cold or just s**t gear
I know pal it's embarrassing. You can't really say to gaffers it looks shite cause bags are bad you'd just sound like a bell end. Got a good finish anyway it just makes it hard workWhatever it is it makes us look like right cowboy c**ts

Everbuild pva, prime 4ish to 1, dried in really fast, then next pva coat was neat as directed on the tub, took a while to go tacky but I pissed about doing other bits so it was completely dry by the time I came back to it, that one poxy ceiling took 5 and a half hours, gear was tearing in the end.Bonding 60 good for first coat . I managed to make sense of the ceiling but will give it a hard trowel in the morning, pissing around with s**t gear is costing us money and ball ache

Five ye lying t**t lolGot one lol
Haha yeah that's not s**t gear, that is a really bad way of tackling an artex ceiling. Need to bond over that fan style ceiling, or at least magic mixNeat p.v.a! And 3 bags of gear Lol!
Ffs no wonder it took 5 and half hours! Pfft!
Jesus wept!!!
Bad prep! Agree Magic mix or heavy first coat, I’ve done it both ways more times than I can remember! It ain’t rocket science is it.Haha yeah that's not s**t gear, that is a really bad way of tackling an artex ceiling. Need to bond over that fan style ceiling, or at least magic mix

User error on prep & same gear 2nd coat
Looking for a free bag of fairy dust !

Beggers believe
That’s just it, it was a bad Artex fan job, deep as fook, it took three bags to cover it, first coat had bonding in it to, it came good in the end, just had to leave it alone, but I was pissed off it had to be hard work, done hundreds in my nearly 30 years now so either I’ve lost my ability to plaster anything in the past month, or there is something up with the gear.Bad prep! 30 years on the trowel is never a waste of time mate. I bet your price for overboarding next time. Or has it been a waste of 30 years on the trowel?
