Tell you another ODC trick if you use a hop up get some of the carpet protector put on the top so if you get any spills of plaster you can just wipe it off and change it whenever it’s needs doneLot of respect. I know it’s just laziness on my part.
Lol y have u got a 110 drill.r u a wanna be site basher“On your only day off”
“When else can I do it”
Cleaning the tools lol. I got this tip on here, using bicarbonate of soda. Works well. Got a 10kg tub for £15 delivered.
If anyone didn’t know, it’s a great way to get the tools clean. Mix with water, generously, leave tools to soak. Will get some after pics tomorrow morning

I was wondering about this, and whether its ok to leave the 'bonded' s*p*r*lex type trowel in water overnight.
Nelaflex, refina s*p*r*lex, ox ultraflex and beroflex trowels all bonded with a tape I think, they seem more 'temporary' as not fully welded or equivalent - physically.
I was wondering how durable the tape is?
Leaving it in a chemical solution or even just water overnight, would it not weaken the bond at all?
@Plasterers1StopShop
Or @Refina ?
Not safe mate it breaks the adhesion
After your finished using themOk.
What's the best - or recommended way to clean them?
I never clean my nela it's the only trowel I don'tas it scratches it to fukOk.

Not too sure mate as I soaked my old nela and did pull the tape away a
Bit was stll useable tho
Are we allowed to see an in-progress half way through photo?
Yea mate will be home in half hour
well,i have to admit my trowels will get neglected at some point and have to go for vinegar bath treatment .They come out as new.
Shut up dick lipslook like they would be ok for scraping shite off the floor
After your finished using them
Well I suppose it does save stopping for a pee while working over the Artex.I just love the incontinance bag, carrying it around on domestics
I'll bet you do.Lurpak save some piss for me I love a bit of "water sports".
I use the WD40 helps give it a good clean ......leave it on for a couple of days then wipeEvery time, every day......
Still get a s**t layer of hard water build up on them.
How in god's name do you use such filthy tools? Please tell me that's not one of your skimming trowels with all that crud on the blade?

Interesting, something is going on there pretty well, when I put mine in cola for a few days, it did diddly squat.. would have been better off drinking it
My mixer looks awful, I've been letting it dry and then getting a hammer on it
I'll also book you in for a manicure
I'm seeing the build up getting quicker lately even with clean water, so I just sand soon as a film builds up
Good to see that Refina again, piece of s**t
bicarb works really well mate. gibbo reckons water alone will do it, i can't see how but worth a try
Gary is right. Plenty of site spreads will leave their mixing bucket in the tank over the weekend. On the Monday morning just take it out, give it a quick whizz over with the churn brush and it's literally like new.bicarb works really well mate. gibbo reckons water alone will do it, i can't see how but worth a try
